The Row 10 Years Lookbook : dress, skirts, vests, cashmere sweater
The Row's dresses and spring/summer collection of vests and pants primarily use silk and wool materials, with designs that are both minimalist and elegantly flowing. These items developed earlier and more maturely than their suit, trench coat and overcoat series—showing the embryonic form of their current style as early as 2011, with a rich variety of categories. Compared to outerwear items, these spring/summer collections matured 2-5 years earlier, after all, The Row initially started with basic white T-shirts and accumulated their richest experience in lightweight spring/summer pieces.
This article organizes content by categories: dresses, skirts, vests, and cashmere sweaters, featuring many beautiful clothes for aesthetic improvement.
dress
The Row's dresses are primarily divided into two fabric types: silk and wool. Silk dresses are more ethereal with sheers and pleats, while wool dresses feature clean, flat, and neat fabrics. On the left is Spring/Summer 2011, on the right is Fall/Winter 2011. From 2011 onwards, The Row's dresses have been divided into these two styles.

The opening of the dress in the right image clearly draws inspiration from Hermès from the Martin Margiela era . These two pieces from 2013 also reference Hermès designs from the Margiela period. The left image also shows that in 2013, The Row's outerwear and suit categories, which test pattern-making skills, were not yet at a high enough level.
2014 dresses. The black dress on the left is becoming more voluminous. In the following years, The Row produced many styles of minimalist black dresses. The two on the right continue the white dress style from 2011-2013, with patterns still needing improvement.
2015 dresses, with bolder design shapes
2016 The Row dresses lean toward artistic textures. Occasionally they would also release a dress with artistic decorative elements. The white dress on the far right is similar to dresses from the past 5 years.
The Spring/Summer 2016 collection continued to experiment with new designs, using silk chiffon and delicate silk fabrics. The Spring/Summer collections of 2016, 2019, and 2023 are the most beautiful in The Row's summer runway shows. From this point on, The Row's silk dresses reached another level, with increasingly more silk fabric dresses, whether made with pleats, sheer, crinkled, crepe, chiffon, or organza.
Leftmost 2017, right two images 2018. The lines and patterns of wool fabric dresses are clearly better. In 2018, The Row's various categories became more mature overall, with improvements every 5 years, and each subsequent collection becoming more and more beautiful.
These two dresses from 2018 have higher requirements in terms of fabric, design, and craftsmanship compared to 2013.

2025 SS not only dresses but also shirts are worn backwards. The two models for 2025 SS don't look very good.
skirts
An overview of The Row's skirts over the years. The Row typically pairs skirts with tops of similar colors, excelling at layering silk of different transparencies to create various silk textures. When looking at the skirts, also note the tops, as many are quite beautiful. After 2017, black straight skirts became predominant.
The skirts from 2011 still have that 00s workplace style, similar to the outfits in Bridget Jones's Diary
During this period, Fabiana Filippi had similar clothing designs. Below is Fabiana Filippi 2013
Agnona 2010 also had this style
But The Row already had more modern skirt designs in 2011

Like their dresses, The Row's skirts include both fairy-like styles with strong drape and silk pleats, as well as straight, pencil skirts with crisp, simple fabrics as shown above and below

2022 mainly learned from Margiela's structuralism, with deconstructed style designs visible in both SS and AW this year
2023 focused on black. Overall, The Row's skirts are primarily straight skirts

tops
Beautiful vests and tops. Since many inner vests are already interspersed with skirts, here we specifically list some tops paired with pants, which also shows The Row's pants quality. Because pants are always paired with tops and jackets, I've organized the images through tops and jackets, so I won't specifically list pants separately.

cashmere sweater
The Row only features one set of cashmere each season, so there aren't many pieces over the past 14 years, nor are there many innovative designs. Each cashmere sweater has a rather classic design, and most current cashmere sweaters follow these styles. The Row's cashmere has low cost-performance ratio. I recommend buying cashmere from the brands in my "brands series" instead.
2013--2016 The Row's first small wave of popularity was thanks to the heavyweight cashmere sweater on the far left from 2013

The following 4 pieces are basic long-sleeve styles selected from The Row over the years, primarily cotton fabrics. The gray one on the far right should be wool fabric
In recent years, women's wear has started to feature some men's style jacket and sweatshirt designs
